Required Qualifications:

  1. BE or BS Degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience
  2. 2 -3 years of experience in IT operation with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
  3. 3-5 years Microsoft SQL Server experience
  4. Experience with data management and data processing flowcharting techniques
  5. Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the business’s Recovery Point Objectives (RPO)
  • Write simple to complex Structured Query Language (SQL) queries
  • Manage SQL Server Jobs and backup process
  • Test backups to ensure we can meet the business’ Recovery Time Objectives (RTO)
  • Troubleshoot SQL Server service outages as they occur, including after-hours and weekends
  • Configure SQL Server monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms
  • As new systems are brought in-house, choose whether to use clustering, log shipping, mirroring, or other technologies
  • Install and configure new SQL Servers
  • Deploy database change scripts provided by third party vendors
  • When performance issues arise, determine the most effective way to increase performance including hardware purchases, server configuration changes, or index/query changes
  • Document the company’s database environment

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Set guidelines for the team to follow in negotiating supplier contracts. Review department objectives and assign individual objectives (such as sales turnover, other income,..) to every category manager to consider in their contracts. Validate contracts before activation and assist in negotiations as needed
  2. Extract reports and collect data necessary to review weekly actual results versus budgeted in terms of gross margin, other income and sales turnover; take corrective actions to direct results and impose preventive measures as needed. Set contingency plan for the section to avoid accumulated loss.
  3. Validate promotions proposed by category manager through assessing all aspects of the promotion to guarantee positive results (aspects such as variety, prices, exclusivity, KVI, repetition)
  4. Allocate rent space for tenants and negotiate permanent consignments agreements adhering to company standards and maximizing profits (coordinate with marketing department)
  5. Receive quarterly market survey on KVI list from category manager; review results and develop action plan to maintain/improve price positioning in alignment with company strategy
  6. Ensure healthy level of stock is maintained and full range of items available; conduct regular shop visits, support category manager team to secure supply of limited items (such as imports) and support the team in liquidating overstock.
  7. Facilitate communication between trading team and other departments; resolve conflicts and provide assistance as needed. Develop negotiation skills of the team and decision making skills.
  8. Prepare and present to management consolidated reports showing invoice margin, other income, discount percentage, rebates and all other factors within scope on monthly and quarterly basis.
  9. Assist Marketing department in developing annual marketing calendar and signs off on stock take results
  10. Recruit, train and motivate team. Conduct regular team meetings to share results, provide continuous constructive feedback. Recommend necessary trainings for the team.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Handle all kinds of problems related to staff balances on the system.
  2. Extract all kinds of reports from the system.
  3. Support in filling the missing positions and make interviews for candidates (juniors only).
  4. Track employees’ absences (regular/ irregular), and send legal warnings accordingly.
  5. Follow-up on each employee’s annual leave, sick leave and send reports containing remaining balances.
  6. Follow-up on the renewal of the annual contracts in terms of sending the forms and the required signatures.
  7. Track "Form 1" of the new hired employees, "Form 6" for the resigned employees to complete the Social insurance cycle.
  8. Assist in all medical insurance cards’ issuance process and delivery to employees.
  9. Monitoring and following up the probation period evaluation and the renewal evaluation form sent to the concerned managers.
  10. Advises and consults with employees regarding personnel questions..
